Everybody's Dad

Hey everyone !

So our family has been going through a pretty rough time. Our Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. If anyone knows this man he always says how he is living until 120 and we still have hope for that.

 

A little back story. In December 2021, he was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer. He had surgery in February to remove the kidney 5 lymph nodes and adrenal gland. A following scan showed that the cancer was removed and we thought everything was good to go.

 

About a couple months later he got a scan of his torso and upper body and unfortunately the cancer cells ended up spreading to his lymph nodes in his upper chest, neck, and under his arms. The doctor then determined that he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The cancer he has is rare and there is no proven treatment.

 

Chemotherapy is not affective; however, the doctors believe that  immunotherapy will have better results for him. Cobra denied it but fortunately the hospital says they can try and cover 90-100% of it.

 

With this type of diagnosis, the only thing left is to enjoy the company of others, start treatment and go on disability. With the terminal diagnosis, we thought disability would be instant; however, disability will not kick in until November.

 

That is why we are writing this today. With the disability unavailable until November, he needs all of our help.

 

We are hoping to help cover expenses for the next six months so he is able to complete treatment and spend time with his family and friends. We really do not know how much time he has with us, so every moment is precious.

 

We were not sure this was the way to go but community, friends, family, relatives, and everyone in between, create the best supports systems.

 

We hope you can find it in your heart to help our Dad and provide some much needed funding. Any amount helps!
