EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND
On Christmas day, Ray Alianiello had an asthma attack that caused him to stop breathing completely.
His mother, my sister Lucie Alianiello, gave him CPR and he is in the ICU in a medically induced coma.
She has asked me to ask everyone we know and their friends as well for prayers for him, especially TODAY.
Ray is in a treatment they call Therapeutic hypothermia (also called targeted temperature management) refers to deliberate reduction of the core body temperature, typically to a range of about 32° to 34° C in patients who don't regain consciousness after return of spontaneous circulation. They will be returning his body (warming) to its proper temperature today at 3pm Eastcoast time. We are asking everyone to pray for Ray that his body will respond well to this treatment and that he will awake on his own. Thank you for doing this and for your love and support.
Perhaps you dont know Ray or not that well, that would be because he is a quiet guy. His sister, Christine, says that Ray is hopeful, he has big dreams, he loves music, his girlfriend, Sara; he loves animals, he is in his first semester of college enjoying his botony class. She describes him as a gentle person with a beautiful soul.
He is a wonderful Uncle to Lorenzo, as you can see in this picture.
Perhaps you have received that call, where your loved one is crying so hard you cant even understand them but your heart aches for them, you want to do something to help, to give support. Reaching out to you is just one way that you can help me to help them. This means so much to me and I know that Lucie and her family appreciate anything that you do to support them at this difficult time.
We are praying for a Christmas miracle!
