Hi, I'm David Cillian James. Four years ago, I woke up from a dream and frantically wrote down the words: "I dreamt we were in Moscow, getting spied on." I knew instantly I had to write a Cold War musical. I found an amazing composer - Robby Sinclair - and we have been working on this ever since.

Everybody Loves a Cold War is a full-length comic rock musical set at the height of Cold War paranoia. Dr. Sergei Korchnoi, a brilliant Russian neuro-chemist, is trying to build a weapon made from love. To complete his work, he needs an American to fall in love with a Russian woman. The deadly KGB Assassin Irina Pashkovina goes in search of her prey, finding the naive and slightly gullible Agent George Mantle, getting his first taste of field work. Little does he know that his boss, the stern Director Patricia Argyle, has some history with Dr. Korchnoi - and some unfinished business.

This project has been a passion and an obsession for us and it is ready to take the next step. We need your help to get it in front of people who can take this the next step - producers and artistic directors. We are planning on staging readings of the show in Canada, the UK and the US.
