Everybody help Doddy

Leon McClymont here, just trying to help a brother out in time of need.

Yesterday, the 30th of April, local Tweed Coast legend Nathan "Doddy" Dodd, had his boat fail him on the Brunswick bar, watching it get mangled on the rocks as he and a mate swam to safety, fortunately. Nathan had just serviced his pride and joy before her final voyage. His boat not only helped him bring home many a fresh feed for his beautiful young family, but it was also a crucial vessel to help him navigate his battle with mental health, and it was working, even helping him stay sober. Today as I write this, Nathan has not had a drink for 3 months and 21 days, having made the decision to focus on the important things, after some rather heavy mental health related accidents (the last major one being gratefully supported by many of your GoFundMe contributions some time back).

unfortunately I to know the heartbreak and devastating feeling of losing your pride and joy and it is not one I would wish upon anyone. Seeing it happen to a fellow mate brings back the memories of my own particular accident. My boat and fishing was and is a vessel to sail over the dark times and challenging mental issues.

This is not a plea to buy someone a new novel toy, or support some kind of luxurious hobby, this GoFundMe is set up to help a brother out, to show a mate we've got his back. Having lost his boat that he'd worked so hard to save for, he's now as flat as he's ever been. Let's try and turn this legend's frown upside down.
