Every Working Mom needs a LYSTRA

Today, we celebrate the life of our beloved Lystra. Her life was cut short this week too young from cancer.
For 20 years, she was with our family holding it together, caring for our boys, our home and us. We are so blessed for the love and all the support. It's ironic, as this year, I was honored as Working Mom of the Year and the truth is...it takes a village. I could not have received such an honor without Lystra in my life. Lystra was my village. Every time I called home, she said, “ALL GOOD. NO PROBLEM.” When we walked home from the New York blackout, she hugged Trevor tight and said, “We are all good here.” In snowstorms or summertime, she had me covered. Every day was filled with love, excitement, great dinners, clean rooms and hugs and kisses. For those moms who have to go to work every day and travel, there is no better comfort than knowing your kids are OKAY. With that, we wanted to send up a fund at JACOBS LADDER EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER here in RVC where young children can have the care they need, even if their finances don't allow for it.
Everyone Needs A Lystra will be funding for those working parents who struggle for the security and care for their kids as they pursue their dreams.
