Every Step Counts: Even Baby Steps

Hi, my name is Cheralyn, and I set up this fundraiser to help my friends BethAnne and Steve Milewski. BethAnne is a teacher, and I have been fortunate enough to work with her since my first years of teaching, almost two decades! As you can imagine, I now consider her more like family than a co-worker. BethAnne's husband, Steve, recently suffered from a heart attack, leading to finding other medical complications. Steve was in ICU for 19 days and was making baby steps at first. We know every step matters. These baby steps have led to bigger steps each day. He has had numerous surgeries and facing months of long-term care and rehab. Although Steve has started to "skip" and "jump" along the way, this will be a long recovery. BethAnne has been by Steve's side every step of the way. During these challenging times, I hope to help with the accruing financial hardship. This support will allow Steve to continue making jumps-turning into leaps. I want to use the analogy of "baby steps" in health progress being the same as "baby steps" in dollar amounts of monetary donations. Every step counts-every dollar counts.
