My nephew, Deondre Rene Whitaker, passed away this last Friday night.
He was running accross hwy 99, in Lynnwood, with a group of friends, and was hit by a truck.
Deondre was a student at Meadowdale Middle School. He was one of the star players on the basketball team and was loved by everyone he came in contact with.
Deondre was most passionate about his love for his friends and family and anything he excelled at. He always had a smile on his face and wanted to always be apart of what was going on.
Deondre was a son, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, a grandson, and a friend. Not only to his blood relatives but to everyone he cared about.
Our family is asking for love, support, and help at this time to lay Deondre to rest. Death is almost always tragic and sudden. We were never planning on ever having to burry one of our children and are no where near prepared to deal with something like this.
Any money raised will be used to pay for funeral services and burial, thru Evergreen Funeral in Everett, WA, and other expenses associated with Deondre's home going.
Our family is heartbroken and in utter sorrow. My sister is Deondre's mother and Deondre was like my first child. My nieces and I are doing what we can to help my sister grieve and make sure my nephew has a beautiful funeral service. God bless, and thank you for all of the love and support at this time.
