One Blessed Love,

We are Fritz and Wendy, a proud Jamaican–Dutch family with three beautiful children.
We live in the Netherlands, but right now, our hearts are thousands of miles away — in Jamaica.

On Tuesday, October 28th, Hurricane Melissa tore through our beloved island and left behind unimaginable devastation.

The western region was hit the hardest — that’s what we’ve all seen and heard in the news. But for us, it’s not just headlines. Our family and friends live in St. James and Hanover, and to this day, we haven’t been able to reach many of them. The silence speaks volumes about how severe things truly are.

There are many fundraisers out there, and we know we’re not the only ones trying to help. Everyone is in need right now. But as a Jamaican, Fritz feels deeply that he must help personally — to make sure that every euro or dollar donated reaches the people directly. We believe this kind of hands-on help is what’s truly needed right now.

We can’t help everyone, but we can start in our own community — where people have lost everything, some left with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

In Jamaica, we say, “Every mickle mek a muckle” — meaning that even the smallest contribution adds up and can make a real difference. If everyone who reads this gives just a few euros or dollars, together we can bring real, immediate relief to those who need it most.

Our plan is simple but powerful:
➡️ Fritz will travel to Jamaica as soon as possible, bringing essential goods and supplies — things that may seem small to some, but mean everything to families starting over.
➡️ Items like boards and zinc sheets can help rebuild homes. Food, water, clothing, and hygiene products will help people survive the days ahead.
➡️ Fritz will work directly with his personal network in Jamaica to ensure that every bit of help reaches those who need it most — not through middlemen, but hand to hand, heart to heart.

“As part of our mission in Jamaica, we aim to help people properly anchor their corrugated roofing sheets to make their homes hurricane-safe.”

Doing nothing is not an option. We’ve never felt such a strong calling to act as we do now.

We will cover Fritz’s travel and accommodation costs ourselves — your donations will go entirely toward helping those affected.
While in Jamaica, Fritz will share updates and photos so you can see the difference your love and generosity are making.

If for any reason Fritz cannot carry out this mission fully, all funds will go to a trusted local charity, such as Food for the Poor.

We all love Jamaica — the food, the culture, the sports, the music, and above all, the strength and spirit of the Jamaican people.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
Let’s come together and help our brothers and sisters in Jamaica feel alright again.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
One Love. Always.
❤️
