Every Kilometre Counts: Running NYC to Help End NTDs

Tax deductible
On November 1, 2026, I’ll be running the New York City Marathon, 42.2 kilometres through all five boroughs of New York, while raising funds for The END Fund and their mission to eliminate neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

Running marathons has long been a way for me to challenge myself while supporting causes that make a meaningful difference. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of running marathons around the world while fundraising for organizations tackling important social issues, including the London Marathon supporting London Community Foundation and the Tokyo Marathon supporting Kidsdoor.

This year in New York, I’m excited to support a cause with global impact.

What are Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)?

Neglected tropical diseases, such as river blindness, intestinal worms, and trachoma, affect more than 1.6 billion people worldwide, primarily in the world’s poorest communities.

The encouraging part is that many of these diseases are preventable and treatable at extremely low cost. In fact, treatments are often delivered for less than $0.50 per person per year and as little as $0.07 in places like the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

That means a $25 donation could help protect hundreds of people from these diseases.

Why This Matters

One of the reasons I’m proud to support The END Fund is the extraordinary impact that small contributions can have.

These diseases don’t just affect health, they limit education, economic opportunity, and quality of life. But with the right support, they can be eliminated entirely.

Running a marathon requires months of training and commitment, but it’s a small challenge compared with the daily realities faced by communities affected by these diseases.

Double Your Impact

This year, every dollar raised will be matched by the Jackson Kemper Foundation (up to $5,000) and will support efforts to eliminate trachoma, the leading infectious cause of blindness worldwide, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

That means your donation goes twice as far.

How You Can Help

I’m aiming to raise $3,000 in support of The END Fund’s work.

Whether it’s $10, $25, or $100, every contribution helps deliver treatment and moves us closer to eliminating these diseases.

If you’re able to contribute, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.

Thank you for being part of this effort and for helping make every kilometre of this marathon count.
