Every dollar counts: The Al-Hatal's Desperate Plea from Gaza

You clicked. Thank you. That simple act means the world to the Al-Hatal family, who are facing a reality most of us can barely imagine in Gaza.

I am raising funds on behalf of Heba and Muhammad, and their two beautiful children - Jamal and Jihad. Their story is one of unimaginable loss and unwavering hope. The Al-Hatal family is from Gaza City and after their home was destroyed more than a year ago, they have been displaced several times, often living in a tent, without access to basic necessities.

The youngest child Jamal, who is 18 months old, has chronic medical needs, and in March he suffered burns on his face and neck after an airstrike caused a fire close to their tent.

The funds we are raising here will be used to help ensure Jamal has the care he needs, and will help the entire family with their daily needs - including food - which due to the blockade is incredibly expensive - clothing, and diapers.

Beyond survival, the Al-Hatal family dreams of rebuilding their home, their lives, their future in Gaza. Every dollar you donate, beyond their immediate needs, will be a seed of hope, a step towards that dream.
