El 2 de agosto de 2025, mi novio, Ever Perdomo Díaz, fue víctima de un intento de asalto. Al llegar a su trabajo temprano esa mañana, recibió un disparo. Ever fue trasladado de urgencia al hospital en estado crítico y pasó varios días en la UCI. La bala perforó su pulmón y su médula espinal, y los médicos han indicado que sus posibilidades de volver a caminar son mínimas.

Ever tiene por delante un largo camino de recuperación. Necesitará atención médica continua, fisioterapia intensiva y rehabilitación. Su madre ha estado a su lado en el hospital desde el incidente y actualmente está sin trabajo para poder cuidarlo, lo que ha aumentado la presión económica de la familia. Creé esta recaudación de fondos para ayudarles con gastos médicos, facturas personales y los retos que enfrentan. Sus oraciones y apoyo significan mucho en este momento tan difícil.

Ever ya salió de la UCI, pero sigue hospitalizado. Está recibiendo fisioterapia en el hospital y pronto necesitará ser trasladado a un centro de rehabilitación para continuar con su tratamiento. La familia también está buscando una vivienda más adecuada para sus nuevas necesidades. El camino por recorrer sigue siendo incierto, y su generosidad—ya sea mediante una donación o compartiendo este mensaje—hará una gran diferencia.

On August 2, 2025, my boyfriend, Ever Perdomo Diaz, was the victim of an attempted assault. As he arrived at work early that morning, he was shot. Ever was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and spent days in the ICU. The bullet pierced his lung and spinal cord, and doctors have shared that his chances of walking again are minimal.

Ever has an extremely long road to recovery ahead. He will require ongoing medical care, extensive physical therapy, and rehabilitation. His mother has been by his side in the hospital since the incident and is currently out of work to care for him, adding to the family’s financial strain. I created this fundraiser to help support them with medical expenses, personal bills, and the challenges ahead. Your prayers and support mean so much during this difficult time.

Ever has now been moved out of the ICU but remains hospitalized. He is receiving physical therapy in the hospital and will soon need to be transferred to a rehabilitation center for continued care. The family is also seeking more suitable housing to accommodate his new needs.
