Everlasting Memories of Charles Hsu

This was one of the best days of our lives! This was our trip to the Virginia Zoo. We walked there together- so oblivious to any of the dangers I would be leery of now...
 

We made up stories about each animal, and joked that the plants were so exotic and beautiful, sometimes we couldn’t tell whether the plant or animal was the main attraction! Everything was perfect that day. The weather was warm with a nice breeze, the sky had big, puffy clouds, and all of the animals wanted to interact with us! It felt like we were in the Garden of Eden.


I remember sitting on a bench, watching the elephants with Charles. I told him that I wished I could have one as a pet, and he looked at me, and said “I promise, I will get you an elephant someday.” That was the sweetest thing to say.


In Charles most recent letter to me, he told me that our day at the zoo was one of the best days of his life, and that nothing could replace it.


I hope that wherever you are, you will always feel as much love, happiness, and magic as we did that day.



I have started this GoFundMe page in honor of our beloved, Charles Allen Hsu, who was an amazing son, brother, family member, and friend to so many! Charles passed away on December 1, 2016.  His amazing, charismatic, energetic, adventurous, and positive spirit will be cherished and remembered forever! 

My goal- with your help- is to raise $1500  for a memorial bench and a little bit extra for an additional flower garden that we can hopefully have placed near the turtle at The Virginia Zoo for Charles!

~He will always have a place in our Garden of Eden where we can visit him, sit with him, and remember all of the wonderful memories he has given us.~
