How cool would it be to have something you drew as a kid show up in full, life-size, vibrant color on the side of your middle school building? That's what we want to welcome the students of Evergreen Middle School for Urban Exploration with when they arrive for the 2021-22 school year.

Our school is located in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn, a community that has been internationally recognized and sought after for its street art , murals, and graffiti. We want the EMS building to be an integral part of that continued community art project by turning our student's illustrations, visions, and joy into a vibrant, large-scale mural facing our community garden and schoolyard with the help of some globally sought after local artists. We want to make sure this project has no limits when it comes to talent, paint, and other resources, so we're asking for your financial help.

The theme for the mural will be "Joy and Progress." We have already received dozens of drawings, illustrations, and ideas from our incredibly talented and visionary students, which we'll be sharing shortly. Our plan as of now is to have these painted on the side of the building in the first 2 weeks of the upcoming year as a celebration of the new year where all of our students will be back in the building.
