Building Tiny Home for Dad After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
On Friday, May 9th, 2025 our dad, Everett, who is 68 years young, recently experienced the unimaginable – he lost his home in a devastating fire. Thankfully, he is safe, but he has lost everything he owned and is now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding his life.
Revisiting his property brought me back great memories with my dad. He loves nature and passed that love on to me. We used to take little "nature walks" on our property where he would teach me about different plants and animals. I want to ensure he can still have a home on his beautiful piece of land.
As a family, we are determined to help him get back on his feet and provide him with a safe and comfortable place to call home again. We've decided to embark on a special project: building him a cozy and functional tiny house. This will be a fresh start for him, a place where he can feel secure and independent.
We are committed to doing the labor ourselves, pouring our love and effort into every nail and beam. However, the cost of materials to build a sturdy and liveable tiny house is very high - especially with the current economical climate. This includes essentials like lumber, insulation, roofing, windows, doors, plumbing, and basic electrical components.
We are reaching out to our community and beyond for support in making this dream a reality for our dad. Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly go towards purchasing the necessary materials to build his new home. Your generosity will provide him with more than just shelter; it will offer him hope, security, and a renewed sense of belonging.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering supporting our efforts to rebuild a home for our dad. Your kindness will make a profound difference in his life during this challenging time.
Updates will be provided!
With heartfelt gratitude,
