Everett is still too pretty to die!

ON THE HOME STRETCH! Everett has been in Seattle recovering from surgery for 4 months now! WOW, it's hard to believe its been that long already. Overall, he is doing very well but has had just about every complication possible along the way. His team of doctors are amazing and helping him work through the issues. There have been no signs of rejection which is the best news ever! He was hoping to be home by now but it may be a few more months. There have been a handful of friends up to visit and that has greatly lifted his spirits! Everett is so appreciative of everyone's help and prayers! Please donate if you are able.

UPDATE!! Our prayers have been answered and Evie has a new set of lungs!!! He went into surgery the evening of 11/27. The lungs were a perfect match and surgery went as expected. His son, Conner, is there with him and is keeping everyone up to date. Today Everett is alert, his breathing tube has been removed and he is doing very well! We are all so happy for him. ❤️ His family truly appreciates all of the help we have given him thus far. We have one last hurdle to help get him over. He is required to stay in Seattle for at least three months, possibly longer, depending on how the transplant team feels he is doing. He and Conner could use some help with living expenses. They do have some money saved up but it will go fast. Anything you can do will help relieve the burden they must be feeling. Thank you so much!

Hi everyone! The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Everett along his pathway to receive a lung transplant. In September of 2021 Everett was diagnosed with Interstitial Fibrosis of the lungs. This means that his lungs are irreversibly scarred and continue to worsen making it harder and harder to get oxygen. Simply put, without a lung transplant he will die. Everett is a father to 3 children, a brother and friend to countless others. He hasn't yet had the joy of watching a child fall in love and start a family of their own. He is a veteran and sacrificed plenty in serving his country. For the past year he has been seeing doctors both at home in Boise, and in Seattle. He also has been attending pulmonary therapy several times a week. He is very close to being added to the lung transplant list. The next step is going to Seattle for approximately 10 days to complete testing requirements and get his name officially on the list! After getting the lung transplant he will be in the hospital for a month and required to stay another 3 to 4 months in Seattle for recovery. Everett is going to need all of the financial help he can get. Insurance is covering some of the cost but not nearly enough. Anything you can contribute will be so greatly appreciated. Money raised here will help pay for his travel, meals, and lodging while in Seattle. We need him to focus on getting better, not on how to pay for all of this. He is a tough guy and is fighting for his life right now. He's too pretty to die, just ask him, he'll tell you!
