A Message From Everett’s Parents:

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who concerned themselves with our son, Everett Molino’s safety the night of March 15th, 2023. Although in times past we have been able to locate our son when missing, sadly this was not the case this time. We understand the magnitude to which our local community stepped in to help look for him last Wednesday and feel fortunate to live in a community like the one we have. Thank you for not hesitating to look for him, even late into the night, whether you knew him or not. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for your love, thoughts, prayers, and actions in looking for him the night he went missing, and the outpouring of love for us after his passing. We have read every one of your kind words of love and support on Facebook and the Go Fund Me created in his honor. We are deeply touched at the impact his life has made on others. Until this moment we had no idea Everett could have such an impact on so many people. For fifteen years we have felt his light and love in our home, and the profound impact he has made on us as parents and on our three other children. Our faith teaches us that our family is eternal and we take comfort in knowing that we will reunite with our son again. Thank you and we love you all.

The Molino family have been a staple in our community for over 15 years. They were blessed with 4 beautiful children and their second, Everett, was a special gift. Everett was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2 and for much of his life required help or assistance. With dedicated parents who held his hand through every step, he was able to learn to read and even transitioned to Highschool at REV in Redlands, CA. Even though he was nonverbal, he expressed joy in many ways. As a community, many of us have had the opportunity to serve by teaching, caring for and watching Everett. As we did this, our love grew deep for this boy and his special needs. He taught us that heart and laughter are more important than most things we value in life. That wearing shoes is not always ideal. That sometimes all you need is to watch a Disney movie with your family and have a good meal to be happy. His Father Silas was his constant companion in life. He sacrificed much of his own personal time to accompany him to any place he went as he required constant supervision. His mother Anne was his tireless advocate and loved him fiercely. Together with their other children, Everett became the focus of their family. His safety and well being took precedence in their lives.

On Wednesday March 15, in the evening, many of us who love the Molino’s were informed that Everett had gotten away from a church youth activity on a bike. Immediately people began driving around in an effort to find him. The Redlands Police Dept and San Bernardino County Sheriffs were searching and a helicopter circled the area over head making announcements on a loud speaker. At 10:00 PM, when he still wasn’t found, a search effort was organized and many teams launched to canvas the City of Redlands. Our love for this boy whom we have served for over the past 14 years cumulated in a galant effort to find him. For hours into the night teams combed the streets. Word began to spread and everyone was driving the streets looking for him. Finally at 2:30 in the morning, Police Officers came to the Molino’s home to let them know that Everett had been struck by a car in an accident and did not survive. You can imagine our grief as news spread. Now the Molino’s find themselves left with the burden of producing a Funeral and Burial while trying to navigate their grief. My name is Haini Wolfgramm and I am a close friend to Silas of many years. I have created this Fundraiser and the total amount collected will go to the Molinos. In an attempt to take this task off of their plate, my wife Sarah and I will collect the donations and give them directly to Anne and Silas in a cashiers check.  Please contribute to this beautiful family to ease their aching hearts during this trying time.
