Everett Lawder's Eagle Scout Project

Hello! My name is Everett Lawder, and I’m a Life Scout in Troop 69, currently working toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Scouting has been a major part of my life for years—shaping my character, building my leadership skills, and teaching me the value of service. From camping trips to community projects, the experiences I’ve had through Scouting have prepared me for this final step: my Eagle Project.
For my project, I’ve chosen to give back to a program that has had a profound impact on my high school experience—the Milton High School Cross Country Team. Running cross country at Milton has helped me grow both physically and mentally. It’s given me a community, taught me resilience, and been a defining part of my high school journey. Now using my skills developed with Troop 69, I want to leave something lasting for the team, future runners, and the community.
My Eagle Project will focus on improving the Milton High School Cross Country Trail through much-needed maintenance and upgrades. This includes addressing erosion issues that have made parts of the trail hazardous, as well as adding benches and landscaping in key areas to provide rest spots for athletes and spectators. The goal is to make the trail safer, more functional, and more welcoming for everyone who uses it.
Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward supporting the completion of the project. If you're unable to contribute financially but still want to help, volunteers are greatly needed and appreciated to bring this project to life. Your support—whether through a donation or your time—means a great deal to me and will create a real impact for the beneficiaries and the surrounding public.
Sincerely,
Everett Lawder
