Everett (Chuck) Bruners final expenses
Donation protected
No one is ever really ready to lose someone they love. We always think we have more time, but the reality is that life doesn’t give any guarantees of tomorrow. My sister and I are dealing with that sad reality because we just lost our only brother, Everett “Chuck” Bruner on May 7, 2021. We are reeling from this devastating loss because we were all so sure we had more time. He was only 64 years old.
He was Chuckie to his family, but he was Everett to most of those who were privileged to know him in his adult years. He was a loving brother, a doting uncle, a beloved Godfather, a steadfast friend, and was very much loved throughout his life.
He established a successful painting business and his dedication to quality work earned him a sterling reputation and many, many loyal customers. But this wasn’t the only project he poured his whole heart and soul into. A recovering addict, he was proud of his 23 plus years of sobriety and worked tirelessly with local NA recovery groups, As if it was God’s plan, he used his personal experiences and struggles with addiction to help others who were facing their own battles. He was heavily involved in NA service work, to which he dedicated countless hours of his life. His kindness, his laughter, and his passion touched so many people and probably saved more lives than we will ever know.
Like so many others in the past year, he was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and between the forced isolation and his declining health and strength, he was struggling both physically and financially. Once he finally found himself in the hospital, he was hopeful and looking forward to a long and healthy future. Sadly, time wasn’t on his side and the signs his body had been giving him proved to be more than he could overcome and it just shut down. God had other plans this time and called our brother home.
Our family lost Chuckie, but the community he served faithfully and passionately lost Everett. Though he helped so many, he never reached out to anyone for the help he desperately needed. He passed away without health insurance, life insurance, or even a final expense policy. As my sister and I face the difficult road ahead of us, we realize that we can’t do it alone. We humbly ask anyone whose life was touched by Everett “Chuck” Bruner to help us with his final expenses. Any donation, no matter the amount, would be greatly appreciated. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
