Everesting Challenge for Max Burton

Donation protected
My name is Gaz Licence and I have decided to take part in a pretty tough challenge in order to raise funds to get a little boy called Max to California. Max is almost three and was born prematurely, and as a result he has cerebral palsy and as yet, he is unable to walk. Max’s parents are trying to raise funds to take him to California for something called ABM therapy. Max was lucky enough to meet the founder of the therapy on her only ever visit to England, and one session with her had remarkable outcomes for Max, so they are hoping that by going to California to work directly with her, Max could make even greater progress.

I have known Max’s dad Chris for a long time through football and wanted to do something to help, so I’ve combined this with my passion for cycling and hope people will support.

The challenge I am doing is called ‘Everesting’ and will involve me repeatedly cycling up and down the Baysdale Road climb continuously until I have climbed over 29,000 feet (the equivalent of reaching the summit of Mount Everest!). I am doing this on Saturday 22nd July. It will be about 56 reps and I think it will take around 16 hours (if my legs don't give up!). As many of you will know, once I set my mind to a challenge I will train hard to make sure I succeed. Please support by donating as much or as little as you can and let’s get little Max to California.
