Hi! My name is Jenny and I am a digital nomad who wants to summit Everest in 2024.
I want to summit Everest for 3 reasons:
- 1. Did you know that hundreds of thousands of people are on organ transplant waitlists worldwide, but the supply of donor organs falls woefully short of meeting the demand? Many people die every year waiting for a suitable donor organ. One donor can save up to eight lives and improve life for up to 75 others. I want to use the challenge of summiting Everest to raise awareness so that more people will consent to be organ donors. Of course, my Heart will accompany me on this adventure, hopefully to the top of the world along with a custom flag promoting organ donation.
- 2. To date, no woman from Costa Rica (where I hail from) has ever successfully summited Everest. I would like to try to be the first. Also, less than 2 dozen Canadian women (my adopted home) have been to the top of Everest.
- 3. As a Digital Nomad I have travelled to many places, but Nepal and Katmandu have stolen my heart. Hiking to Everest Basecamp earlier this year helped me to decide that I want to get to the top of that mountain
