Everest trek for Liv and Great Ormond Street Hospital

Hi, I’m Billy, and at the end of November I’ll be trekking to Everest Base Camp to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, a place that means the world to my family.

My little sister Liv has been incredibly brave in her battle with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM), a rare autoimmune disease that affects only 3–4 children in a million. It causes her immune system to attack her own muscles and skin, leading to pain, weakness, and inflammation. Despite everything, Liv has faced countless hospital visits, tests, and treatments with unbelievable resilience, positivity, and determination.

Over the past year, she’s been in and out of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), where the doctors, nurses, and physios have given her extraordinary care and support. Their work has not only helped Liv regain her strength but also given her and all of us hope.

Now that Liv’s condition is under better control, I want to give something back to the hospital that’s done so much for her and for so many other children. Trekking to Everest Base Camp is going to be one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever faced, but compared to what Liv and others go through every day, it’s nothing.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly to Great Ormond Street Hospital to help fund research, treatment, and care for children with rare and life-changing illnesses like JDM.

Thank you so much for your support, it truly means the world.
Together, let’s help GOSH continue to give children like Liv the care and hope they deserve.
