Everest is Nothing Compared to a Hero’s Journey

Want to join me in making a difference? For the past 20 weeks, I’ve trained to hike the equivalent of Everest, which is to say, I’ve trained to hike up 29,029 feet in one go. The challenge is to do it in 36 hours. I’m making the attempt with my husband, 250 other nutty folks like us, and an incredible support staff of coaches and volunteers.

During our time Everesting I'm raising money to benefit Acton Academy Marietta, and to build their financial assistance fund. As a non-profit, Acton Marietta keeps their costs low but doesn’t have much extra at the end of the day. The goal is to seed their financial assistance fund so families can consider Acton as an option without the stress of stretching themselves too thin. Acton believes every child is a genius and is on their own personal hero’s journey. They provide an incredibly supportive environment where the children truly set their own path. I’ve had the joy of watching kids attend for the last 6 years and the transformations as they come into their own is something to behold. Any donation will help make an impact.
