My name is Evelyn Pamela Serrano and I am a current freshman at New York University. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in physics with a double minor in entrepreneurship and astronomy. My overall objective is to obtain a doctorate degree in astrophysics. I am writing this letter in request for your help in the pursuit of my endeavors. I have recently been accepted into the NYU Summer 2017: Hawaii Island Science program to study astronomy and other physical sciences abroad. Unfortunately the total expenses for the trip will reach approximately $7000 and given my financial circumstances it would be very difficult for my family to be able to afford the entire cost.
