Marucci Elite – Corpus Christi is a 501c(3) organization in the Coastal Bend committed to instilling a love of sports and overall wellbeing to our youth and the community we serve. Through that love we infuse the core values of leadership, honesty, respect, discipline, good citizenship, cooperation, competitiveness, sportsmanship, and teamwork into the youth of our community. We are committed to be an outstanding community organization that provides opportunities to our youth and our community through inclusion, at all levels of play and through good stewardship.
We have taken the lead on the renovation and repair of the Evelyn Price Sports Complex but in order to get the project moving we need the support of the community. Extensive road construction, unwelcomed inhabitants, crime, drugs, and vandalism have taken its toll on the complex and we have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are confident that we can get the park safe and operating again for the children of our community.
For those of you that have been in the baseball and softball community for a long time you know that Southside/Price fields used to be the hub for baseball in Corpus Christi. They have been hit with hard times due vandalism, road construction, and unwelcomed inhabitants...and we need your help.
Project: Addition of a Perimeter Fence (Phase 1)
The primary scope of this project is to add a 6’ tall aluminum black perimeter fence with a concrete base to phase one of the project. This will include the demolition of various fixtures and dilapidated fencing being used to block vehicular traffic and “clean-up” the exterior of the property as well as free the park of unwelcomed inhabitants and ongoing illegal activity to provide a safe place for our children to play. Fencing will be removed on interior facing areas of the park to create a more open space and repairs and leveling of the grounds affected will be completed to ensure a safe play for our children to play.
