Support Evan’s Medically Complex Health Treatment
Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends,
Writing to you today is both a necessity and a step outside my comfort zone. I am reaching out to share a personal challenge and to ask for your support. Recently, our family has been faced with medical conditions that require treatment beyond what our financial capabilities can handle.
Our son Evan was recently diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, and possibly Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Evan has been in the hospital 6 times this year already. Some of his doctors and testing has to be done in Gainesville which is 1 1/2 hours away from us. He is still undergoing treatment to find out the root cause of all his symptoms.
He also needs a full genetic test panel that insurance has currently denied. We are fighting for approval. The test is $800-$1000 out of pocket. This test would help us get more answers.
Due to Evan’s health conditions he is limited to how much he can work. It has affected our family’s income as well. My husband lost his job in March, but is now working again. I've had to take time away from my online business to help Evan with his treatment, appointments, and hospital visits.
The cost of medical expenses, tests, medication and supplements, gas, hospital meals, and daily living expenses has become a hurdle for our family. I am humbly asking for donations to help cover these expenses. Your support would provide not just financial relief but also encouragement to our family during this difficult time.
I too have Alpha-1 Antitrypsin MZ variant. I have been recently diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver because of this. I have had to undergo multiple tests as well as see a specialist in Gainesville. I’m receiving ongoing treatment for this.
Your kindness would mean the world to us. Our greatest request is that you continue to lift us up in prayer, trusting God for full and quick recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
