Hi, my name is Ryan Evans and I'm starting this GoFundMe to see if I can help raise some funds to help my brother Josh and his wife Heather as they near a very scary chapter in their lives. Heather is currently pregnant with their second child and due to complications, the baby will require at least three heart surgeries. The first operation is an open heart surgery set to take place just one week after being born with a 4-8 week recovery time in the hospital. The second open heart surgery will take place once the baby is between 4-6 months old with the same recovery time. And hopefully, the last operation will take place between the ages of 2-6 years old.

Heather, a teacher in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan, is already in Edmonton with a family friend so that she is near her doctor before being induced in the second week of February. After the first surgery, Heather and the baby will be staying at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton for at least two months during recovery. While she is away Josh will be at home where he will continue to work and look after their son Axl who is a special needs child that requires additional support. Fortunately, other family members will be staying at their home to help while Josh and Heather are away.

Josh, Heather, Axl and the baby will need all the help they can get while navigating the current challenges they are facing while hopefully being in a spot that is slightly less stressful for the challenges yet to come.
