Hi everyone, I’m Myia Evans. I’m reaching out to our community to ask for help for my dad, Darin Evans, and my brother, Jayden.

On Thursday, April 23, 2026, a devastating fire broke out on Brock Street, destroying the home where my dad and brother lived. While I don’t live with them, watching from the outside as they lost everything in a matter of minutes has been heartbreaking. I am so incredibly relieved that they are safe, but they lost their 4 cats and have been left with absolutely nothing but the clothes they were wearing that night.

My dad and Jayden have lost their furniture, their clothes, and all of their daily essentials. Starting over is a difficult task for anyone, but doing it with nothing but the support of family and friends makes all the difference.

I’ve started this GoFundMe to help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible. My goal is to make sure they don’t have to worry about where their next meal is coming from or how they will afford to replace the basic things we all take for granted.

Your Support Will Go Toward:

New Housing: Helping them secure a new place to live (first/last month’s rent).

Daily Essentials: Replacing clothing, shoes, toiletries, and groceries.

Furnishing a New Home: Buying beds, a couch, and kitchen supplies so they can have a sense of normalcy again.
