My name is Evan Layman. I am only 20 years old and was diagnosed with a rare cancer in April 2015. I have Stage IV metastitic Sarcoma Cancer with peripheral nerve sheath tumor features. This cancer has been found in my chest (which affected my left lung), lesions in my liver and spine. At this time, there is no cure for this type of cancer, but every day there are new discoveries with treatments and cures.
Previous to this diagnosis, I was working towards saving money to go to college and earn a degree towards my passion in sound and accoustics. This has been put on hold until I can overcome this bump in the road.
Along with all of this, I lost my dad to cancer when I was 4 years old. I am entremely determined to fight this battle and be free from cancer.
Funding will go towards traveling to and from my treatments (approx. 4 hours away from home in Indianapolis), along with all prescriptions, medical bills, and every day living expenses.
