Evangelina Garcia Memorial & Family Support Fund
On July 27, 2021 Evangelina (Eva) Garcia passed away unexpectedly.
After fighting colon cancer for about four years, Eva finally was cancer free. She had just completed her final surgery to repair damage done by the cancer and therapies. But just about two weeks later she found herself on a Monday afternoon in the emergency room. One more surgery had to be performed early the next morning to figure out what was happening. Shortly after this surgery, while in recovery, Eva went into cardiac arrest and was not able to be resuscitated. She passed away 7:17am Tuesday morning.
Eva was a strong woman. While battling cancer, Eva was also attending college, was starting a small business selling essential oils and had became an advocate for prison reform after her children's father died from COVID while in custody just six months prior to her death. Eva had a vision to use her education in Health and Wellness, her small business and her life experiences to start a not-for-profit organization to support women through their own emotional and physical healing journeys.
Eva left behind two beautiful loving children, Andrew and Isabella, who supported and loved her dearly. They aspire to be like their mother, helping others, by getting their education in psychology and nursing.
