Evan's Treatment in Mexico

Donation protected
Hey everyone,

As some of my friends and family already know, I was diagnosed in April 2015 with Pleomorphic Liposarcoma Stage IV Cancer. The primary tumor was found in my chest, with lesions found in my liver and spine. I received an MIR a week ago showing compression on my spine. The next day, I had an MRI showing small tumors on my neck and two on my brain. The doctor said that there is nothing they can do at this point but to continue radiation in hope that nothing will progress. My cancer is terminal and aggressive. Doctors are running out of ideas. After 3 weeks of radiation they plan to send my biopsies to experimental centers in America and go through treatments that do not have high success rates. America does not have the answers for me.

Many people do not truly understand the truth about cancer. Conventional treatment (radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery) cause cancer to become stronger where (most of the time) it doesn’t actually kill the cancer cells. Conventional treatment might prolong someone’s life, but most of the time cancer patients die from the the effects of the treatment rather than the cancer itself. Don’t get me wrong some people are cured through conventional treatments, but it is not going to help me. Katie and I, including our families, have done countless amounts of research this past year on how to rebuild my immune system so I can fight cancer. I am afraid to say that the chemotherapy has destroyed my body more than it has helped.

On Monday, I received so much hope because God answered my prayers. I was accepted into Hope4Cancer Institute located in Playas de Tijuana, the Baja California area of Mexico. They gave me an overview of my treatment plans. My treatment plan is specifically personalized to my type of cancer and individual prognosis. My stay would consist of 3 weeks, leaving April 12th and returning home May 4th. When I leave, the staff will train Katie and I on my Home Program. I will be instructed to see them in 3 months and then again in 9 months (or have a doctor in the states watch my progress).

Katie spoke with Hope4Cancer today telling her they have helped so many people with my type of cancer. There is hope out there and I am going to beat this cancer!! However, I cannot get to Mexico without your help. The total costs for Mexico is $42,900, but they do not accept insurance since it is out of the states. We only have about 3,000 of this raised towards the trip. We are accepting all donations. If you wish to donate in other ways than gofundme, you can send it to my parent’s address via check (3688 W Pawnee Drive, La Porte, IN 46350).

To sum it all up, we have a lot of money to pay in a very short amount of time (by April 11th), but this could be a life or death decision and now we really need your help. I am only 21-years-old and fighting so hard for a life that many people take for granted.
