A peaceful rest for Evan

Hi, my name is Kat and I'm Evan's sister. One of his dear friends wrote this for him so I thought I would use it. Thank you Renee.
Evan Mcallister was a great friend. His 1000 watt smile, as some of his friends called it, could light up the darkest of rooms. Evan was adopted, and didn’t get to know his biological family until later in his teen years. Friends were Evans family. At least that’s how he treated them anyways. If you were lucky enough to be someone that Evan considered a friend than you’ll know what I mean. Evan always had the time listen. Even if you didn’t want to talk about it, if Evan could see something was bothering you, there was no keeping it to yourself. He had a way of talking things out of you. He was always genuinely intrested and concerned with what was going on in your life. Evan was the kind of friend everyone wishes they could have, and we did. That was at least until October 26th of this year when Evan took his own life.
You never think it will happen to you, or at least you would notice the signs. We think that if a friend we love is hurting that bad, we would notice, or at least I did anyways. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Evans passing came as a complete shock. It has devastated everyone that loved him.
There are many details that need to be sorted out as Evan did not have a will. The costs associated with funeral arrangements can be quite significant. It would be a tremendous gift to the family if they didn’t need to worry about where these finances were going to come from. Evan would have given you the shirt off his back. Lets be serious. Evan would have given you the shirt off his back, and if he didn’t have one on, he would have gone and bought one just to give to you. That’s just who Evan was. I hope the generosity in his heart finds its way to yours when you donate to this go fund me page. Please help us to give Evan the end of life service he so notably deserves.
