This GoFundMe is in Memorial of Evan Melau who will forever be playing baseball for RakeCity!!!  MELAU #5 
We have enjoyed Evans' smile since 2016! He loved RakeCity and being a part of our program, from the youth speed and conditioning to sprinting on and off the field with our uniform on! 
Evan would come to the late workout group after either football or basketball (which we banged on him for, asking if it was a 6 foot and under league, he’d smile then put his head down and giggle). We watched him through the years barely get over the hurdles and struggle with the olympic lifts, but he was there giving it all he could getting stronger every time he was in. I can picture the face he made when I would challenge his weight on cleans and he refused to give up and would keep trying and trying. When he finally got that weight, the look he had when I said next week we add 20lbs......I got it Kout!!!
Evan definitely grabbed a couple inches in height over the past couple of months and Just a week ago he squared up every ball in live ab’s since we got back, every single at bat! Evan is exactly what we represent and what we loved about him...the under dog! We always say, when you work as hard as you can in baseball no matter height or weight, we will find a spot for you in college baseball. Evan was well on his way as he sure had the work part down!
I have had many people reach out in our baseball organization to see if they can help in any way. I know as a RakeCity family we will do our part in many ways behind the scenes as well as front and center with this GoFundMe Memorial Fund. I hope we do all we can through these days to help The Melau Family in a time that no one could possibly comprehend how difficult it must be!
