Evan Josiah Marchese was born on August 25, 2021 to Josh and Alexandra Machese and big brother Xavier. One week after Evan was born he started grunting with each breath. He was taken to the ER where things got worse very quickly. He was in respiratory distress and was airlifted to the picu in Florence, SC. After four days there, his chest X-rays showed his heart was larger than normal. They did an ultrasound and diagnosed him with coarctation of the aorta. He was then airlifted to Charleston, SC for surgery. On Tuesday, September 7, at less than two weeks old, he underwent heart surgery to repair his heart defect. Evan is making good progress but will possibly need another procedure due to some narrowing near where his defect repair is.

This money is being raised to help the Marchese's with the massive amount of current and future medical bills they will have. Both Josh and Alex are off of work while Evan is in the hospital due to the fact that Charleston is approximately two hours from where they live. This will also help with food and living expenses while they are in Charleston.
