Evan Hall and his 8 year old son Franklin need our help.

Evan is currently in the process of beating cancer for the second time. The first time around I described Evan as the strongest person I know, and the obstacles he’s battled and the burdens he’s carried over the last four and a half years have proven that statement true on a daily basis.

Evan, a single father, is a carpenter by trade. But chemotherapy treatments every other week and a compromised immune system make it next to impossible to do the kind of work he excels at.

Evan and Franklin need our help to cover rent, utilities, food, Franklin’s back to school clothes…all the normal expenses that a father and son have.

Evan was originally diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in April 2018. Doctors operated and removed a tumor the size of a tennis ball from his colon. It was while operating that they realized the cancer had spread to his liver.

In his next operation, 40% of liver and gall bladder were removed.

After these operations and several more rounds of chemotherapy, Evan’s cancer started to disappear. Unfortunately, there were complications with the chemo port just below his collarbone that resulted in blood clots. Evan’s chemo port had to be relocated.

Evan officially went into remission in November of 2019 and was able to go back to work in January of 2020. He worked until March of 2020 when everyone started to quarantine and work from home.

At a follow up scan in June 2020, doctors saw that the cancer had returned to his liver, and he’s been on chemotherapy ever since.
