Hello friends, this fundraiser is for the unexpected death of our brother, our son, and our friend Evan Gonzales.
Evan's life was filled with adventure. It was his motto, his motivator, and his message to the world. He was the ringleader, the brains, the comedian, the brother, the son, the friend in so many of our stories. He lived fearlessly, living the most authentic and genuine life that we've ever seen -- living the most "unapologetically Evan" as he could.
Unfortunately, depression took his life from him. It caught everyone by horrible, gut-wrenching surprise. In his last message to the world, he heavily acknowledged the incredible amount of love in his life. He was very well aware of how much love and positivity surrounded him, but the depression he fought so hard for so many years left him drained, and his depression convinced him that suicide was the only option.
He passed peacefully, going out in a way comparable to going under anesthesia. He was caring even after the end, doing his best to make post-life logistics as easy as possible for us, leaving us with very specific instructions on what to do.
Although he did his best to help us after death, we still have to carry the financial burden. Traveling across the country to sort out logistics in California, transportation fees of his body, moving fees for his belongings in his apartment, mortuary fees, and of course, funeral fees have left us in a place where support is needed.
Any donation amount is appreciated, we are already grateful for anyone who sees and reads this. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this with friends, family, or anywhere where this can be seen.
The emotional support we have already received has been beautifully overwhelming and we thank all of you for all the love and support sent our way.
Thank you for your time. Much love and peace to you all.
