Evan and Franklin Hall need our help right now.

Evan is one of the strongest people and fiercest, most loving dads I know. He has been actively fighting cancer for six years while full time dadding, and recently has come up against a major set back.

Evan is not able to work and he and Franklin need our help to cover rent, utilities, food, school clothes for a growing fourth grader, and all the everyday expenses that a father and son have.

You may have seen an outdated GoFundMe circulating. We are starting a new page because, with this recent hurdle, Evan and Franklin are essentially starting over from scratch again.

For some history, Evan was originally diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in April 2018. Doctors removed a tumor the size of a tennis ball from his colon. Unfortunately, the cancer had already spread to his liver and so he underwent another operation removing 40% of his liver and gall bladder followed by several rounds of chemotherapy. Evan was in remission for a short time in 2019 but the cancer returned and he has been receiving chemo treatments for the last four+ years.

Recently, Evan started a new chemo regimen which had an adverse affect, leading to major discomfort and making it very difficult to eat anything and have energy for everyday activities. He is now on a lower dose of chemo in an effort to allow his body to heal. Unfortunately this has also lead to disease progression.

Evan is taking one day at a time and keeping things positive for Franklin. But he needs our support. He is one of the most generous people I've met in Nyack, always giving of his time and love as a father, friend and member of our community. Let's match and exceed his generosity.
