About Evalucien Dance

Evalucien Dance Company is a team of 6 women who use latin dance as a way to build confidence, stay active, and strengthen the support and positive bonds between women. None of our dancers are dancers by profession - we all train entirely on our own free time with money out of our own pockets. Every year, we train on a salsa routine, representing Denver at an international competition.

The 2015 Journey

Last year we were thrilled to finish in 6th place at the World Latin Dance Cup in Miami, Florida (see the video below!)


Our 2015 goal has been to improve even further! After training hard on a new routine choreographed by champions Erica Reyna and Javier Campines, we went to the International San Francisco Salsa Congress competition where we won the Ladies Team division!


We are now trying our hardest to take this same routine to the prestigeous international World Salsa Summit in February.

This is all, of course, an expensive proposition.

Along with the travel expenses (flights, hotel, registration fees), we also have to take time off of work, which for many of us makes the trip and the experience unaffordable. We care about this enough, and we are excited enough about it, that we are asking our friends and loved ones for support in accomplishing this goal. We figure that if several people are willing to pitch in just a little bit - even $5 or $10 - it can all add up to making this dream, and amazing learning opportunity, a reality. - Beautiful, sparkly costumes ($250 each)
- Airfare to Miami
- Hotel costs
- Competition registration fees ($1,000 for a team our size)
- Training time with our coaches
