Assalam Walakum and Ramadan Kareem Everyone, my name is Najib Khan from the MCMC community in Piscataway, NJ.

I am currently asking my friends, family, and anyone else who may be interested in help raising funds to evacuate my friend’s family from the Gaza Strip into Egypt, through the Rafah Border Crossing.

Our brother Mohammed Tayeh is looking to secure safe passage for his mother, father, sister, and his sister’s children.

We have been in contact with brother Mohammed since the start of the war when our family reached out to see if there was anything we could do to help. He has only asked for our duas, and after checking up on him a few times throughout the war, we have come to learn his parents are stuck in the North of Gaza, while his sister and her children are stuck in Rafah.

Mohammed has successfully managed to evacuate his children, Alhumdilillah, and we are confident his connections are trustworthy so that our funds will be received in the right hands. It was only until yesterday (April 4th, 2024) that we obliged him to finally accept help from the community. This is something he did not ask of me.

Listed below is a breakdown of the costs:

1 child: $2,5000 USD

1 adult: $5,000

Mohammed’s Mother: $5,000

Mohammed’s Father: $5,000

Mohammed’s Sister: $5,000

4 Children: $10,000

Total = $25,000

At this time, the priority to ensure the family safely reaches Egypt. We may raise the goal by $6,000 (to $31,000 from $25,000) if we hit our target so they have some money to hold them over.

We should consider this Sadaqa Jariya. If this helps keep the family safe inshaAllah, Allah (SWT) will reward us for any good they do in the future.
