Assalamu Alaikum,

My name is Rana Mohamad and I am starting this campaign to help evacuate three members of our community, their children and spouses to safety. Since April 2023, the clashes between the SAF and RSF have forced our community into displacement, leaving us wrecked with senseless homelessness and fear. The three families this campaign targets escaped central Khartoum with little more than the clothes on their back and are currently residing in the outskirts of Wad Madani and neighboring villages, respectively. These families have children as young as 11 months, and no older than seventeen years of age. This kids have had their lives and all that is familiar to them violently uprooted, and their only hope is to escape while they are still a family unit, still alive and able to exist. Their parents bear the maddening responsibility of trying to keep them safe while having no control over the political climate, no control over what might happen next or where else they might be forced to flee to.

UPDATE:

These three families are currently sheltering in Shendi, where SAF militia are stationed. Routes to Qatar and Saudi Arabia and Egypt have been compromised, as they are now looking to escape through Eritrea. Among the three is a mother who very recently gave birth to her fifth child and needs financial assistance for medical expenses. Please donate and spread the word!
