Help My Siblings Treatment & Family Evacuation

My name is Sondos Abutaha. I am from Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza. We have been grappling with challenging conditions due to the ongoing genocide. The situation has been particularly hard on my siblings, who are dealing with various health issues. I am reaching out for your help to provide them with the necessary medical care and support our urgent evacuation.
Meet My Family:
Parents: Our pillars of strength, Mom and Dad, have been our constant source of support and love. They have been managing these challenging times with courage and resilience.
Siblings:
- Hossam, my 27-year-old brother, has a mild intellectual disability and difficulty speaking. He also struggles with balance. During the 2021 war, he injured his elbow while escaping a bombing. The injury still causes him pain.
- Malk, my 14-year-old sister, has a physical disability that hinders her speech and movement control. She used to attend regular therapy sessions before the war, but the bombing of the therapy centers has worsened her condition. She needs continuous physical and speech therapy.
- Mostafa, my 19-year-old brother, was pursuing his passion for interior design when his university was bombed. He had to put his dreams on hold. Mostafa is also battling a bone disease that affects his entire body, especially his knee joint. He is in dire need of surgery.
- Yahya, my 8-year-old brother, is a bright student but suffers from the same symptoms as Mostafa. Despite numerous doctor visits, his condition remains undiagnosed. His condition prevents him from enjoying activities like other children.
In addition to Hossam, Malk, Mostafa, and Yahya, we also have Baha’a, a 25-year-old brother, and Saleh, a 9-year-old brother. Each of them has been coping with the situation in their own way and their strength inspires us every day.
Our Urgent Evacuation Plan:
We plan to relocate to Egypt where we can access the necessary healthcare. This move will allow us to provide better care for Hossam, Malk, Mostafa, and Yahya. The evacuation is urgent due to the ongoing genocide and the deteriorating health of my siblings.
Fundraising Goal:
We aim to raise €100,000. Here’s how the funds will be used:
- Medical Treatment: A significant portion will be allocated to cover the cost of surgeries, therapies, and ongoing medical care for my siblings.
- Rehabilitation: Funds will also be used for physical and speech therapy sessions for Malk and Hossam.
- Travel and Living Expenses: A part of the funds will be used to cover our travel costs for the evacuation and basic living expenses for our entire family during this transition, including rent, food, and transportation.
I will provide regular updates on our progress and how the funds are being used.
