Dear friends,

I would like to introduce myself - my name is Mohamed, but you can call me Hamoudy. I was born with a medical condition that caused a shortage of oxygen in my brain, resulting in difficulties with both speech and physical movements. The condition has left me with severe spasticity, which can only be managed with medication. Despite the challenges I have faced in my 7 years of life, I have always strived to overcome them with the help of my family, therapists, and the grace of Allah ﷻ. With their support, I have been able to excel in my treatment and achieve milestones that the doctors never thought possible.

However, the recent war in Gaza has taken a toll on my health and well-being. The destruction of my school, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals, along with the loss of my therapist and wheelchair, has made it impossible for me to continue my journey to recovery. The supplies that I rely on for my well-being have been blocked from entering Gaza. This has led to a significant deterioration in my condition. I've started stuttering and my spasticity has increased to such an extent that I can no longer sit or stand. The constant fear of bombs hitting us has taken a toll on my mental and physical health, exacerbating my condition. The results I achieved from years of treatment have been erased, and all the money that my parents had saved up for my treatment has been exhausted. Despite all this, I have not given up hope. I have faith that with your help, I can receive the treatment I need to become a normal kid who can walk, talk, and go to school like any other child. I am determined to overcome my challenges and achieve my goal of walking with minimum assistance. I believe that with your support, I can make this dream a reality.
