I am Samira from Al Jazeera in Sudan . The war had began about a year ago. I used to live in Khartoum, but the war moved to the Jazeera. When the Rapid Support Forces attacked Al Jazeera, they entered the area where we live and tried to rape us, but some women and men defended us, but they stole all the money and food. Sexual harassment began.
Many rape attempts, attempts at short marriage for me and my sister, and even my sister started urinating involuntarily, and a lot of sleeplessness, and she tells me to kill me before they touch me. She cries while holding a stick all night. I cannot sleep except for a knife under me to kill myself in any attempt to rape me
My mother is sick as well . A patient has blood cancer (lymphomas). I ask you to help us go out to Egypt and reside there to protect and continue treating my mother and protect me and my sister. Sudan is not safe for women
You may not know about the war in Sudan, but there is a dangerous aspect, which is the blatant violations against women, rape and selling of women.
