Oxford United Girls Academy player and technical midfielder Eva Terry aged 14 needs your help!
On the 13/12/25, I sustained a knee injury during a crucial JPL Cup football match. Sadly picking this up not long after scoring an important equaliser.
During Christmas and January, I worked really hard doing rehab to try and get back on the pitch. Unfortunately the pain and swelling persisted. We decided to get an MRI on my knee and was shocked to discover that my ACL has ruptured, my MCL ligament suffered damage and both right / left menisci have been torn, all of which now require urgent surgery.
I have pain climbing stairs, riding my bike and cannot participate in any sports at present.
I would really love to be back playing sports and in particular playing football with my teams at Oxford United U15's (since 2022) and the JPL Warriors U14 National All Star team (since 2024).
I also want to be back taking part in school PE where last year we won the SNS National Football Cup making history for my School, rather rather than watching from the side.
I am determined to have a career in sport & choosing PE as a GCSE option this year. As a footballer, my week was very busy with training and matches, this kept me focused and happy, all of which are now paused; I miss this immensely.
After successful trials last summer, I was selected for the England Rounders Pathway & Buckinghamshire County Cricket but paused them to focus on my football. At present I am not able to run, kick a ball or do anything sporty until I get my knee issues fixed.
I am reaching out for help to cover the costs of my upcoming knee surgery and ongoing rehabilitation.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help me get back to full fitness, back to my teams, back into sports and regain my positivity again. Thank you for your support. Even if you cannot donate passing this fund raiser around would be a massive win for me.
Thank you again and fingers crossed for the future.
Eva
