Eva J. Szillery Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eva Szillery passed away unexpectedly on November 22nd, 2021. Her students and family knew her as a passionate teacher who cared deeply for helping children to improve their mathematical and problem-solving abilities. Eva was the founder of the MMSETS program and the Maine Origami Society, as well as the Director of State Competitions for the American Mathematics Competition.

To honor her memory and continue her mission of furthering child education, we have started a memorial scholarship fund to benefit Maine students going into mathematics, science, and engineering. Our goal is to raise $10,000 and set up a memorial scholarship fund with the Maine Community Foundation. All donations will receive a tax credit slip once the formal scholarship with the Maine Community Foundation has been established.
