I was very hesitant to make one of these, so first and foremost if you don’t feel compelled to donate or just simply can’t right now (times are freaking tough right now) we completely understand, and appreciate your kind words and good vibes just as much.

Financial restraint is something I unfortunately see everyday at work, and I absolutely see and understand both sides. Emergency and unforeseen veterinary care is expensive, and never planned. Most people don’t have thousands of dollars immediately at their disposal. But without this care animals suffer, and the veterinary staff that work tirelessly also need to make a living.

Diesel needs radiation treatment which is unfortunately not something offered at the hospital I work at, or anywhere in Maine for that matter. We are currently down in Boston at Angell Animal Medical Center getting Diesels planning CT. The treatment, if we decide to move forward with it, is about twice the cost we originally planned on it being (estimated at $17,000). That also doesn’t include all of the diagnostics and work-up already completed where I work if you can believe it. Any little bit will be of a huge help to us both as we continue to both work full time, seek out other financial aid options, and do everything in our power to do what’s best for our furbabies.
