Many of you know this lovely family. The Prado family have been members of our community for many years. They have four kids who have attended PPISD. Those who know them, know that they Love God and are very involved in our community.

In January 2018, Miguel was diagnosed with Colon cancer, already at a Stage IV. He underwent surgery to try to remove the tumor but unfortunately it was not a success and they ended up doing a Colostomy. The cancer quickly spread to his liver as well. 

Miguel has gone through his first round of Chemotherapy, 12 treatments in all. Unfortunately, the CT scan revealed that the cancer has spread to his lungs now. 

The doctors forsee, 20-30 radiation treatments, more Chemotherapy, and 2 more surgeries this fall. One surgery to reverse colostomy and another to remove part of his liver. 

While Miguel has been working all this time, unfortunately he has just lost his job. With medical expenses, four kids in school , and the expenses of everyday life, this has been very hard on the family. 

The most amazing beautiful thing is, if you ask Miguel and Sonia about it, they share the good things that God has done for them.
