Friends of Eddie,
Nobody ever wants to hear the C-word. Ever. But sometimes it seems to creep into the best of us.
As many of you know, our friend Eddie was diagnosed with testicular cancer February 29th. Further tests showed that the cancer metastasized in his abdomen, kidney, and chest. Chemo began March 3rd.
Eddie is a fighter. There is no doubt in any of our minds that he will beat this, but he has a long road ahead of him. His most recent hospital visit lasted three weeks and there will be at least three more one-week stays for chemo. Every day he will see his doctor for a shot and once a week he will have clinicals. Surgery and further chemo is also a possibility. As a contract worker, Eddie doesn’t have paid sick leave, so he will spend extensive time out of work.
All donations will help with medical bills and time away from work during treatments. It will allow Eddie to continue chemo and get on the road to recovery, while removing some of the financial stress that affects him and his family.
Eddie is an incredible friend. He has always been there to lend an ear, be a shoulder to cry on, or to make you laugh so hard you forgot what was bothering you in the first place. Hopefully we can help give a little back to our buddy and Grayson’s favorite superhero while he kicks this cancer’s butt.
