European Dragonboating Championships - GB

Some of you may already know over the past 18 Months, I have taken up a new hobby (or that is how it started out). Since October I have put my heart and soul into what at times has felt more like an ordeal. I have consistently been attending British National Training Squad sessions across the Country, hitting my training harder than ever, striving to refine my technique, strength and fitness to achieve the very best of what the GB coaches have asked of me and given everything in my 2 day trials for selection. I’m proud to say that as a result of this determination, commitment and consistency to my program, I have successfully been selected for the GB Senior A Dragonboat Team and that I will be competing at the European Championships in Prague this July.

This is just the start of the journey. I have lots of hard work ahead of me, in the gym and on the water in the coming months.

You may or may not be aware that minority sports such a Dragonboating unfortunately do not attract funding. This leaves the sole responsibility of funding on the athletes who represent their Country. I am seeking your kind support in the form of funding. Funding will go towards training days in the lead up to the competition itself, purchasing training kit, transport, nutrition and accommodation.. Any small contribution towards these costs is greatly appreciated and valued.All athletes self fund the process, including kit, accommodation, flights. This is a big financial commitment
