This go fund me is raising money to help support a family that has been devastated by a medical emergency. On December 12th, Steven Straughen was thrown 50 ft in the air when a tank he was on top of exploded. He was grievously injured and has already had two separate 7 hour surgeries. Steve will need months of long term rehabilitation therapy.

Steve worked incredibly hard to support his family and he was the sole provider for them. He has a wife, two small children under two years old, and a twelve year old step son.

Steve will be unable to work for at least six months possibly longer. Although, this was a workplace injury, as many of you already know, workman’s comp will not replace even half of Steve’s salary. Steve’s wife is trying to figure out how to keep the family afloat but she has so many other concerns right now, it would be great if losing their home and car wasn’t one of them.
