Howdy!
We are a passionate team of students from the University of the Arts working on a new short film, Euphemia.
Euphemia is an original story by Del Ziegman. The piece focuses on a young woman who is baptized as an adult in an attempt to save her dying relationship. Her complicated relationship with her faith and partner plunges her into the world of the surreal and terrifying. This piece explores the intense feminine experience of smallness in a world of compulsive heterosexuality as well as women's tortured but beautiful relationship with The Sacred.
While still in preproduction, Euphemia has exceeded our emotional and financial bounds. This project means the world to us, but we need your help to make it come to fruition!! Our team has been working tirelessly to create the world of this piece. So far, we've assembled the production schedule, built seven-foot poppies, handcrafted detailed costume pieces, coordinated on-location shoots, and created the promo video.
In addition to the costs of everything we have already constructed, we have three extensive travel shoot days and three local shoot days ahead of us. We would love your financial support to help cover the costs of the set and costume pieces, feeding our excellent cast and crew, and upcoming travel expenses.
Everyone that donates will be featured in the "Special Thanks" portion of the credits. Please contribute with the name you wish to see on screen!
When our final product is complete, we intend to submit the work to a variety of film festivals.
Thank you so much for your support!
